NEW SITE

Welcome to our new site, we still have some work to do and pictures to add, but feel free to have a look around. Thanks for your patience.

Sunday Services

Farnham Vineyard meets each Sunday morning at All Hallows School, Weybourne Road, Farnham (click here for map/directions).  The atmosphere is pleasantly informal, and you can be sure of a warm welcome. There will be someone there to help you find your way round.  From the 1st May 2011 we will be having two morning services, the first service starts at 9.30am with coffee served after the service.  The second service will start at 11.15am, coffee and refreshments served before the service from 10.45am. Both services will last approximately one hour.

Children's activities are provided during the service from crèche to teens. These include an abundance of fun, some worship and teaching, and plenty of encouragement relevant to each age group.

On the last Sunday of the month, we have an All Age Service where everyone meets together.  This service lasts for about an hour.  The crèche room is open in case an escape route is needed!

Open Heaven

We have evening services on the second and fourth Sunday of the month (unless notified to the contrary) in The Vineyard Centre, starting at 7pm, finishing at approximately 9pm.  We call these "Open Heaven" and there is worship, teaching and ministry.  See Diary Page for dates.

Small Groups

These are central to the church's life. Groups of 6-12 people meet in homes for food, relationship building, worship, prayer, and learning from the Bible. The goal of these groups is to facilitate growth in character, to train and equip every member for ministry and to find ways of serving the community together.

Young People

  • Crèche
We have an excellent crèche facility in All Hallows School during Sunday services for children aged 1 - 3 years.
  • Epic Kids
This is our Sunday ministry for children from 3 - 9 years. As well as meeting in their age groups, they spend time together in worship and various other activities. They have a lot of fun together.
  • Rhythm
This is a group for 10's - 13's which meets on Sundays.  They stay in church with the adults for the first two worship songs, after which they go to Room 101 for their activities.
  • Young People's Small Group
This group for 14-18 year olds shares the same values and goals as the other small groups at the Vineyard (see above).

Prayer

We have a "prayer chain" to enable an immediate response in prayer for those in need.  For more details, or if you have a prayer need, please call the office.

Ministries in the Community

These include regular visits to the elderly, a Storehouse (provisions for those in financial difficulty), Harbour (a weekly drop-in lunch), Little Lighthouse (a Parent & Toddler Group) and Wired. Small groups are also encouraged to develop their own areas of service.

Christians Against Poverty UKCAP is a national debt counselling charity which combines practical and sustainable financial solutions, with sensitivity to the individual's personal needs, to bring real solutions and hope to those trapped by debt.  We run a CAP Centre from Farnham Vineyard and our CAP Centre Manager is Lorely Clark.  She can be contacted via 0800 328 0006.  More details of this ministry can be found at the CAP website www.capuk.org

Farnham foodbank runs every Monday and Friday, 11am - 1pm, at The Vineyard Centre.

Teaching and Training

Regular leadership and discipleship training takes place in the church. Further courses, all open to the community, take place from time to time, covering such topics as positive parenting, marriage, ministry, managing money and ministry in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Ministry trips occasionally go from Farnham Vineyard to other churches in the UK and abroad. Links are developing with the international church, particularly in poor areas.

Alpha Courses

Alpha logoAlpha is especially designed to be a relaxed, informal and pressure free introduction to the Christian faith. It takes place over 10 evenings and a few hours at a special weekend session. The course is a great opportunity to investigate Jesus for yourself and to make new friends, especially as eating supper together is a part of the process.  Contact Guy Pritchard in the FV office for details of the next course.

Living Free

Living Free is a six-week course that introduces us to the ministry of Jesus through biblical truth.  It is essential training for effective discipleship.

During the course we learn more about the love God has for us, the reality of spiritual warfare and the power that Jesus has to set us completely free.  We will learn to take personal responsibility for our own issues (sins) thereby freeing us up to impact those around us.  Although “Living Free” helps us to personally grow spiritually, it is essentially encouraging us to be outward-focused.

There are six sessions dealing with such topics as

  • God’s original design for each one of us
  • Our world has two realms
  • Understanding power and authority
  • Understanding strongholds
  • Demolishing strongholds and learning to live free
  • The Overcoming Church

More details can be found on the Living Free website: www.sycamorecommission.org/Sycamore.  The only cost is £10, to cover the cost of the Living Free manual.

Please call the FV office for more details.

Fellowship and Social Events

Small Groups organise their own social events and there are also occasional events for the whole church.  The FV Bikers go out for rides regularly during the summer months.  Hub in the Pub meets on the first Sunday of the month at a local pub after our morning church service.  A group for men called "Mind The Gap" takes place on the first Tuesday of the month at the Greyhound pub in Ash from 7.30pm.  Please look on the Diary Page for all events.
